Kendall’s Tavern & Chophouse

Hospitality Branding & Guest Experience | Coon Rapids, Minnesota

Created for Morrissey Hospitality, Kendall’s brought new life and a distinct personality to a neighborhood restaurant at Bunker Hills Golf Club in Coon Rapids, Minnesota.

A little grit. A lot of heart.

Surrounded by suburban chain restaurants, Kendall’s needed to offer something different. A place for a great steak or a burger and a beer. Elevated without being stuffy. Local without trying too hard.

Our research uncovered a piece of the property’s history that gave the brand its personality.

Meet Mr. Kendall.

The land once belonged to a farmer named Kendall. We borrowed his name and imagined a personality to match: a little gruff, a little irreverent, but warm and welcoming underneath it all.

That character inspired everything from the name and logo to the voice and guest experience.

Good food. No attitude. Well, maybe a little.

We carried Kendall’s personality into every touchpoint, from menus and environmental graphics to advertising and social media. A little humor, a little edge, and a whole lot of neighborhood pride helped make Kendall’s feel like a place that belonged to the community.

A neighborhood favorite, ten years and counting.

What began as a fresh start for a struggling restaurant has become an established neighborhood destination. Kendall’s celebrated its tenth anniversary in 2025, a milestone worth raising a glass to.

Good hospitality has personality.

We help restaurants and hospitality brands find what makes them different, then bring it to life in ways guests can see, feel, and remember.
